Week 58 - Si Nunca Lo Intentas, Nunca Lo Sabras

This week was a pretty good one, like always ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  I have had some pretty funny moments, and some pretty cool things happen personally too!

Well this Sunday, with it being the first Sunday of the month, we decided to do a 24 hour fast, which is not eating or drinking during the span of the fast. Its a way we can sacrifice something we need so god can bless us with something we need more. WELL, something I never really did before was fast with a true reason in mind. As a missionary we learn daily about how insufficient and unable in this work on our own. I'm a 21 year old kid with another 20 year old, walking the streets of Honduras speaking another language, with absolutely no background of teaching and about 4 years of early mourning bible study, which for the most part honestly involved a lot of snoozing off. If this wasn't

the Lords work, we would be on our own, and on our own we cant convince people that what we teach is the truth. Luckily, we aren't on our own, and we don't convince anyone absolutely anything. We have the Lord on our side, the truth of the Book of Mormon, and the Spirit to testify of its truthfulness.

We fast so that God can help us even more in his work, and I've already seen immediate responses to our prayers. We had one investigator decide not to come to church with us even though we went to go get him, and honestly we were fasting that he would come, but he chose to use his agency otherwise. Walking away I felt discouraged. Seconds later, I look up to a honking car of an investigator we had who said he had to decide between losing his little shop by not working and coming to church, but he decided to come, and bring a truck full of other investigators who we didn't think would come because we couldn't go get them! My heart was full of gratefulness. Too add to my testimony, Jose, the man who gave up working to come to church, didn't lose his shop and has decided to stop working on Sunday because he knows god will bless him more.

I just wanna share my short testimony about the countless blessings I have received in my life, prayers answered, and even a few people who have been put in my life to bless me more and more. God answers our prayers, and the work that I am doing is his work. I know the church of Jesus Christ of Latter days saints is Gods kingdom on this Earth. Love you all, the power went out and I ran outta time to put more, so hope y'all enjoy the pics!
