Chickens are Everywhere!

Happy Birthday this 27th of July to my Big Brother Ryan! Thanks for putting up with sharing bunk beds with me throughout our childhood, for pretending to take my heart out like the guy in Indiana Jones, and for being an awesome overall brother. I think all of my memories of you make me laugh, always got a smile on my face when I'm with you bro! Cant wait to hit the slopes up with you in 2 seasons! Love you Brothaaaaaaa, message me on Facebook man!

I'm going to be honest, this week I don't have much to write about, but I always write something for the few people that read my letters. Love the fans, you guys rock

So people say the lion king came out this week. Really confused how they made a "real life" version in CGI, isn't it still just animation? How could they make it really different? mind blown.

El Baño

This week my comp and I found this place that makes Pancakes WITH MAPLE SYRUP! You would not believe it, but that stuff almost doesn't exist here. They only use honey, but like a great value version of an already off brand honey. It sucks. So I've been eating dry pancakes for the last 13 months, so we were excited to say the least.

This week we decided to go out to visit a members house that lived far away. She offered us to give us a ride after church, and we enthusiastically went! Why were we enthusiastic? Well the husband of this member, who is not a member, is the owner of a huge coffee farm out in the middle of the mountains. And when I say "middle of the mountains" I LITERALLY mean it. It was like a 40 minute drive on a dirt road that finished with a house out the end where the family lived. So crazy beautiful out there though. Very funny to find members whose lives depend of growing coffee. I actually learned a ton about how the operation works with her husband, and got to share my testimony of how amazing this world is.

The truth is, what I've seen is that all we focus on sometimes are the bad things in life. Murders, who's political opinion is more important, its basically a competition of who can find the worst thing that happened during the week. Then how does that affect us? We naturally look for the bad things that happen in our own lives. There's a lot of bad stuff in the world, and I'm in a place where that is very evident, but I also wanna say how beautiful and good the world is too. We are so blessed as humans, but sometimes we forget to notice the good people and good things. My invitation to each and every one of you is go out and look at the beautiful nature, the stars, mountains, water. Think of the people that make you happy, family, friends, weird people in the street. The good memories that you've had. Instead of making the daily tragedy the top of our list, try and count the small daily blessings that our loving Heavenly Father puts in our life. I have truly seen how much my heavenly father loves me, and how wonderful this life truly is. We pass for difficulties, losses, but hes always there for us.
