I have some news: I know a few weeks ago, I wrote about how I was very happy and content with being here in Honduras, and believe me I was. Recent news that I've heard is about the Area 51 movement, or more specifically ¨Area 51: They cant stop us all¨event, now with over 2 million Facebook users agreed to going. I personally think this is the funniest thing to happen yet in my lifetime, and I am very sad that I'm not in the states or I would undoubtedly be there alongside everyone. Its less about knowing about the aliens, I just wanna tell my kids I was part of a movement arguably as big as the Civil Rights marches ;) (Only a joke, please no one get politically offended, sincerely Stevo)
Well things about my week:
We started a new change, and looks like Elder Austin and I will be together for another change together here as Zone Leaders in Siguatepeque, and I'm honestly very happy about it. We bicker but in the most funny way, and its makes being a missionary always funny, we get along very well in that aspect and we have ton of new investigators!
Funny how things work sometimes. This week we decided to go work in another new section of our area that we had never been too. We thought, there's no way that people have tried working here, and have found NO ONE, it couldn't be possible. We weren't super motivated to go knock doors, because if you have time in the mission, well at least in my mission, its just not the most efficient nor effective way to work. Buuuut, we went. Basically all we had was rejection. It was hot, we saw a bench that was in the shade and we felt the ¨spirit¨ to go sit down and take a rest ;) My comp decided to say a prayer, and asked Heavenly father to lead us where he wants us to go, kinda outta desperation and tiredness. I remember feeling a strong wind and a strong feeling to open my eyes. I looked in front of me, and saw a house with the door wide open. With a very strong impression, I told my comp ¨come on¨and went to the house. The Pregnant lady and her child and sister in law answered the door. Immediately invited us in the door. Very very crazy. I asked her if she could be with her children forever, would she choose it? She responded that she would love to, but she knows they are just loaned for this time. It was very beautiful to see her eyes light up when I got to tell her that what if our Heavenly Father had a plan where she could be with them forever. She came to church the next day. This is definitely the lords work.
Another prayer answered this week. My Mom sent me a small package, and I finally got it! To my stupidity, I left it in the bus station when I sent it down to help someone loading boxes into the bus. I knew being in Honduras, the hopes were basically lost, but I said a little prayer asking if it were possible , if I could receive the package again, but if not I knew it wasn't that important. Honestly I was just planning on telling my parents that it got lost in the mail service, even though they wouldn't be mad, just didn't wanna face the shame cause I'M A LOSER, I misplace things a lot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Well my prayer was really answered, the bus station somehow called me and told me they had it.
It doesn't matter how small or big our problems may be, or important our prayers seem to be, Heavenly Father listens to each and every one of them. I am a witness of that. I feel his love every time I pray, and I have grown to know him even more in my life through prayer.
Matthew 7:7-8
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh. findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
